Our story<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Long car rides to the \u2018Osteopathy for Children\u2019 course led to a beautiful friendship and the setting up of a charity project (the Osteopathic Children\u2019s Project at the Twentse Zorgcentra) for children with intellectual and physical disabilities, including multiple disabilities. After 10 years, the project came to an end, but the drive and passion to keep sensing and perception in the spotlight remained. The ideas took shape and Osteopathic Studies became a reality.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Osteopathic Studies is an initiative of Corry Bezuijen (D.O.-M.R.O.), Carla Harmsen (D.O.-M.R.O.) and Dennis Holverda (D.O.-M.R.O.).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This successful collaboration led to two successful editions of Biobasics NL and a new challenge:
Organising a three-day course with an international speaker.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The \u2018New Tools in Osteopathy\u2019 course with Maurice Bensoussan was a success in every respect. This led Osteopathic Studies to decide to organise another course with him. His passion for passing on his experience before retiring led to the formation of a team of experienced colleagues. Due to COVID-19, the course was postponed several times.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Corry officially stepped down as a board member of Osteopathic Studies on 1 January 2021. We thank her for her inspiring contribution to the development of Osteopathic Studies, Biobasics and New Tools in Osteopathy. Her selfless dedication and hard work for Osteopathic Studies helped us to create great courses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<\/source><\/picture>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Osteopathic Studies remains a non-profit organisation and continues in the same way with Dennis and Carla.
After running Osteopathic Studies together for several years, they decided it was time to bring in a third board member. Naomi Dek officially joined the board in September 2024.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
