Corry graduated in 1994 as Osteopath D.O. and is working since then in her own practice. After her graduation she was asking herself ‘is this all there is about osteopathy?’ Being curious and eager to develop herself she has done and is still doing a lot of postgraduate courses, f.e. the postgraduate paediatrics diploma. She was assistent at several courses of Hanneke Nusselein and tutor at the Still Kids Clinic.
During many carrides to courses Carla and Corry built up a nice friendship and together they set up an osteopathic charity project with mental- and physical handicapped children ‘het Osteopathisch Kinderproject voor Twentse Zorgcentra’ in Almelo. This project lasted 10 years, here children got osteopathic treatments and osteopaths who were studying paediatrics, were coached. This project was a beautiful learning experience for her Osteopathic life.
For Corry the most important thing in her work is: which knowledge do I need, which roads do I need to go to help the whole person who comes into my practice in the best way.
To develop as a human being, as an osteopath, A.T. Still, our founder, is a big source of inspiration. Treating with feeling, seeing, thinking, knowing and caring fingers. (W.G. Sutherland). What a fascinating process!
